This online workshop, Adult Day Programs in Hawaiʻi: For Kūpuna and Caregiver Respite, offers a comprehensive look at how Adult Day Care and Adult Day Health services support aging adults and the caregivers who care for them. Presenters will provide an overview of program offerings across Hawaiʻi, including daytime respite, social engagement, therapeutic activities, exercise, nutritious meals, and connections to community resources. Attendees will learn the key differences between Adult Day Care and Adult Day Health, what levels of care each can provide, and how these programs can serve kūpuna with memory loss or dementia. The session also covers costs, eligibility, and the referral process, along with important caregiver resources available through the Elderly Affairs Division.
