Tuna Patties

Ingredients

  • (1) 6oz can of tuna or salmon
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp shoyu
  • 1 Tbsp green onion (chopped)
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic (finely minced)
  • 2 Tbsp panko
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil or avocado oil for cooking

Optional:

Switch out canned tuna for canned salmon for more for omega-3 healthy fats.

Directions

  1. To a medium sized bowl add tuna, eggs, shoyu, green onion, and garlic. Mix until well combined.
  2. Next add panko, salt and pepper to the mixture and mix until well combined.
  3. Set a frying pan over medium high heat and add cooking oil of your choice.
  4. Once the pan has heated up, add a scoop of the mixture creating a patty shape. Cook for 3-5 minutes or until golden brown. Flip and cook for another 3-5 minutes on the other side.
  5. Serve the tuna patties over rice, in a sandwich, or as a lettuce wrap.
