2026 Hawai‘i Community Health Worker Association Conference

The Hawaiʻi Community Health Worker Association is gathering Community Health Workers and allies for a one-day conference to continue growing and supporting the Hawaiʻi CHW workforce.

This year’s theme, “Waves of Change: Celebrating Community Health Workers’ Impact Across Hawaiʻi,” reminds us of something deeply rooted in who we are as poʻe Hawaiʻi. Like the ocean that surrounds us, change is constant, powerful, and interconnected. Each wave carries energy forward, just as Community Health Workers carry ʻike, compassion, and service into the communities they serve.

Objectives

  • Identify the role of Community Health Workers in improving access to culturally appropriate care, addressing health disparities, and promoting social justice throughout Hawaiʻi
  • Motivate and increase CHW involvement in advocacy efforts that relate to the growth of their profession.
  • Continue the discussion and development with CHW allies and employers on efforts to strengthen the CHW profession.
  • Continue the growth of the Hawai‘i Community Health Worker Association.

Join us to partner with and support Community Health Workers throughout Hawaiʻi!
