Understanding and Responding to Dementia Behaviors a Caregiver Conference

Catholic Charities Hawaiʻi is offering this free full-day Caregiver Conference. It will be in-person at the Queen’s Conference Center and also available via Zoom. The local expert presenters will cover:

  • Behavioral and Psychological Symptoms of dementia (BPSD)
  • Benefits and importance of professional assessment and accurate diagnosis for the person experiencing memory loss and for those providing care

  • Emotional and Physical needs of people living with dementia that can lead to challenging behaviors
  • Understanding and responding to behaviors as dementia progresses: practical tips for unpaid family
    caregivers
  • Tips and Best Practices for Communication, Safety and Environmental Adjustments
